Former Bedford County Parks and Recreation Program Coordinator Lana Obenchain and Gail St. Clair originally got together to try and find something to do for the seniors throughout the county, and so the "Silver Notes,” became a reality.

The “Silver Notes” incorporate props, like stuffed animals, hats, and flags into their performances. The group strongly encourages audience participation, especially when they dig deep into the oldie tunes.

The Bedford County Parks and Recreation Department sponsors the “Silver Notes” group. If you are interested in having them perform for you, or would like to join, contact the Recreation Department at 540-586-7682.

The Southside Senior Citizens (50+) Association meets the second Wednesday of each month at the Moneta Rescue Squad Building, 12646 N. Old Moneta Road in Moneta.
