A Henry County woman has been found dead in her home at the 1300 block of Wingfield Orchard Road, and a missing vehicle from the driveway was located in Franklin County.

Pamela S. Morse, 63, was discovered by her husband after he returned home at around 8 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13.

The Henry County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and then reached out to the Virginia State Police at around 10 a.m. to investigate the death.

Special agents from the Virginia State Police, Bureau of Criminal Investigation, responded to the scene and were given details that a red 2010 Jeep Compass was missing from the driveway. The vehicle was later discovered behind a residence in the Henry community of Franklin County.

The remains of the victim has been sent to the Virginia Office of the Medical Examiner, Western District, to establish the cause of death.
