The organizing committee for the SML Walk to End Poverty, honoring Jim Cameron and Lake Christian Ministries’ (LCM) Neighbors in need, recognizes the sponsors who have already signed on to support the Saturday, Sept. 14 event, to be held at the Smith Mountain Lake State Park.

Event co-sponsors are Capps Home Building Center and Centra Health. Supporting sponsors are Haywood’s Jewelers, Runk and Pratt, AEP, Moneta Lions, Southside Electric, American National Bank and Trust, BHHS Smith Mountain Lake Real Estate, Coley Law, Eye Care and Surgery Center, Eastlake Community Church and The Landing Restaurant. Laker Media is the media sponsor for the Walk.

“We are deeply grateful to the businesses and organizations that are leading the sponsorship effort for this year’s Walk,” said event chairman Jim Laseter. “Their generosity and community spirit, exhibited through their eagerness to support the Walk financially, will provide a significant boost to LCM’s fight against poverty in our area.”
