With the school year over, Radford Baptist Church began its annual Vacation Bible School on Sunday, which will conclude tomorrow evening of this week. The theme for this year, according to RBC Children’s Pastor Redd McIntyre is “The Incredible Race.”

“The human race is created by God,” McIntyre said. “It is a fallen race and it needs Jesus Christ as our savior. We’re “traveling” through the world discovering we are one race, we are all the Human Race under God.”

With this theme, each group of children was designated a different country, and each day they were shown a different part of the world. VBS began each night with the children gathering in the worship center, and then they’d spread out through the church to do different crafts, activities and Bible lessons.

McIntyre explained that there are many volunteers helping out with VBS in some capacity including working in the kitchen, cleaning up, registration, Bible teachers, and team leaders.
