THEODORE ‘TED’ CHESTER PULKOWNIK

Theodore “Ted” Chester Pulkownik, 81, of Hardy, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  He was born April 12, 1930 in Chicago, Ill., a son of the late Frances Wojiskiewicz Pulkownik and William Boleslaw Pulkownik.   Ted was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy, and he was a retired Broker with Proctor & Gamble.  He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Henry Pulkownik and a sister, Irene Greenway.  He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Oberzan Pulkownik; two children, Ann Eckert of Boston, Mass. and Ted Pulkownik of New Canaan, Conn.; six grandchildren; a brother, William “Bill” Pulkownik of Tampa, Fla.; and a sister, Lucille Wakefield of San Diego, Calif..  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
