Staunton River Softball ties Hidden Valley in second scrimmage of the season

The Staunton River High School Softball team scrimmaged Hidden Valley last night, with the Golden Eagles tying the Titans by a final score of 7-7.

The Golden Eagles came out with stellar defense and improved hitting, building a 4-0 lead early on, and an eventual lead of 7-2 before Coach Scott Cisco put in the reserves toward the last few innings. The Titans fought back, including a two-run rally in the seventh to tie the game.

With two scrimmages under their belt, the softball team will now turn their focus to the regular season against Heritage next Monday.
